Jeroen Cornelis
Writer & Storyteller
Stories have always been at the heart of what I create. From theatre and books to interactive narratives, I enjoy building worlds, shaping characters, and bringing ideas to life through writing.
About
I am a Dutch writer with a background in theatre, film, and literature. Over the years, I have written multiple plays, scripts, and books, often with a focus on fantasy, humor, and character-driven storytelling.
Alongside my work in traditional media, I contribute to game projects as a narrative designer — helping shape dialogue, lore, and interactive storylines.
Selected Work
- 14+ theatre productions
- 8+ film and TV scripts
- Multiple published books including the Storm series
Game Projects
I specialize in bridging the gap between deep lore and engaging gameplay. Below are a few projects where I contributed to the narrative design and world-building.
Serious Game: Topolis (ABN AMRO)
Developed by Tinqwise, Topolis is a professional learning environment designed to increase the Agile maturity of IT teams. I crafted the narrative structure and interactive dialogues, using realistic scenarios and behavioral design to turn corporate development into an engaging social learning experience.
Divinia Chronicles: Relics of Gan-Ti
An action RPG inspired by classics like Zelda and Final Fantasy. I was responsible for the world-building and mythology of the island Oria. The narrative focuses on the duality between life-force (Gan) and its dark counterpart (Gan-Ti), translating complex lore into meaningful player encounters.
Collaborative Storytelling
I am currently available for freelance narrative design, focusing on dialogue writing, lore documentation, and character development for indie and serious games.
